The Farmhouse Annex
This part of the main house was my choice of design after Paul died. It is built in local granite and I found the traditional craftsmen to construct the green oak timber frame and plaster the inside walls in hemp and lime. It has a glazed roof that offers a grand view of the outdoors from inside, no matter what the weather. It is still my greatest delight waking up in this bedroom of a morning. The oak beams , indoor balcony with a view down onto the indoor garden and my small but well stocked library of most beloved books are all I will ever need for my complete contentment.
